Difference Between Left And Right Hand Scissors

*

Left Hand and Right Hand scissors are two types of scissors used for different purposes. The main difference between them is that the blades of the left hand scissors is curved in a different direction than the blades of the right hand scissors. The way that the blades of the left hand scissors are curved, makes them suitable for cutting with the left hand while the blades of the right hand scissors are curved in a way making it suitable to cut with the right hand.

Left hand scissors have an S-shaped blade that is designed for the thumb and index finger to fit the curve of the blade for better control and accuracy when cutting. The handle of the left hand scissors are also made to fit comfortably in the left hand when cutting. The blades of the left hand scissors also have more cutting power, so it can handle tougher material.

Right hand scissors, on the other hand, have a more traditional curved blade that is designed for the thumb and index finger to fit the curve of the blade for better control and accuracy when cutting. The handle of the right hand scissors are also made to fit comfortably in the right hand when cutting. The blades of the right hand scissors have less cutting power, so it is better suited for softer materials.
